Police chopper crash-lands on Brazilian highway

Incredible footage captured the moment a Brazilian police helicopter fell from the sky onto a city highway on Monday.

A Federal Highway Police helicopter was transporting accident victims when it crash-landed on a busy Vero highway. According to Jam Press.

According to the report, there were six people on board the aircraft, including a doctor and a nurse, but fortunately no one was injured.

PRF Commander Aurelio Real, who was on board, said the helicopter suffered a rotor failure, forcing the pilot to perform a dangerous maneuver.

“There were six of us. Everyone is fine, no one was hurt, thank God,'' Real said.

“The location was great after a failed rotation. Unfortunately my tail hit the fence.”

Despite the miraculous results, when the helicopter landed, the force of the helicopter's vortex blew away tiles on the roof of a nearby house.

“When the roof went up, tiles fell into the house,” said Elisa Lawless, a local resident.

“I jumped on top of my son so as not to hurt him. “The helicopter made a strange noise as it took off, and suddenly everything started falling.”

According to footage taken from the vehicle before the accident, the helicopter narrowly avoided colliding with a car.

“It was really scary,” said driver Vitor Fabiano, who narrowly avoided a catastrophic collision.

“It was right in front of me. In just a few seconds, I could have been under it. “It was just by the grace of God.”

The accident was being investigated by Brazil's Air Accident Investigation Agency.

“Federal Road Police aircraft undergo a rigorous acquisition, storage and maintenance process and are operated with similarly rigorously selected, trained and tested crews,” PRF said in a statement.
