There was a man Found naked indoors Sex toys and marijuana were found hidden at an elementary school on Thanksgiving Day, Florida police said.
According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, officers were called to Windmill Point Elementary School on a report of a possible robbery and upon arrival found a naked man inside a classroom around 9:30 p.m.
Urias was charged with numerous crimes, including lewd and lascivious acts and robbery.
Police said the man noticed their presence, quickly got dressed and tried to flee through the back of the school. He allegedly struck the deputy and was arrested after reserve officers arrived.
As a result of the investigation, a napping area, clothing, sex toys, women's underwear, and marijuana were allegedly found inside the school. the man said Police said he was homeless.
The man was identified as Joe Urias, 34, who is employed as a teacher at Somerset College Prep, another school also in Port St. Lucie.
Urias was charged with numerous charges, including lewd and lascivious acts, robbery, possession of marijuana, and assault on a law enforcement officer. He was held in the St. Lucie County Jail on $31,000 bond.
Somerset Preparatory School officials released a statement saying they are working with police and taking steps to “prevent this individual from returning to campus.” They also referred to him as a “previously” employed teacher and assured parents that background checks are done on all teachers.
