“At this time, detectives have found no evidence to suggest that her death was caused by anything other than natural causes,” police said in a statement Tuesday.

Police said the investigation continues and the lawsuit remains open until medical inspectors return the final ruling on the cause of death.

According to the report of ABCAbber's family said in a statement that she had “suffered from epilepsy and epileptic seizures for many years.”

“We are looking forward to more information from the medical examination room in the coming weeks,” the family added. “Our family is shocked and deeply saddened, and we ask for privacy with respect when we try to overcome unspeakable losses.”

10:48am – Sunday, March 23, 2025: Former federal prosecutor, Jessica Abber, 43, was found dead at her Virginia home on Saturday.

Officers found Abal at their home in Alexandria, Virginia around 9am after responding to reports about unresponsive women whose cause of death has not yet been determined by the Virginia Medical Examiner's Office.

It is also unclear whether the house belongs to Abbah and who contacted the police.

“As a protocol issue, an investigation into the circumstances of her death is underway. The Virginia Chief Inspector's office will determine the cause and the way in which the death is done,” Alexandria Police wrote in a press release.

Abbar is a former US lawyer for the Eastern District of Virginia, and was appointed former President Joe Biden in 2021, unanimously confirmed by the Senate, resigning after President Trump took office and allowing Trump to nominate his successor.

Abbar began working as an assistant US lawyer for the Eastern District of Virginia in 2009, and from 2015 to 2016 he served as an attorney general for the Department of Justice's Criminal Division.

“I am saddened to learn that Jessica Abber has passed away, including US lawyers for the Eastern District of Virginia in public service and that her work with the Virginia Cerezius ceasefire saved more lives than we realise,” wrote Attorney General Virginia Jason Miyares.

“We continue to be in awe of how much she achieved in this world in such a short time. Her professionalism, grace and legal insight sets the standard. We are devastated by this loss, but each and every one of us in the Eastern District of Virginia is looking to that standard and looking to that standard.

US Attorney General Pam Bondy also said the loss of Jessica Abber, a former US lawyer for the Eastern District of Virginia, is extremely tragic. Our hearts and prayers are directed at her family and friends during this extremely difficult time. ”

Furthermore, before resigning in January, Aber charged former CIA analyst Asif Rahman after pleading guilty to leaking the finest secret documents about Israel's plans to attack Iran last year.

Abbah called Rahman's actions “a violation of his oath, liability and law,” adding that it would “bring life, undermine US diplomatic relations and its ability to gather important intelligence in the future.”

Aber also targeted Virginia-based Eleview International Inc., where two executives were accused of implementing “three different schemes to illegally transport illegally sensitive American technology to Russia.”

Executives Oleg Nayandin and Vitaliy Borisenko are accused of illegally shipping more than $6 million worth of goods to Russia.

The lawsuit against Ebu's executives continued after Aber was able to indict two Russian citizens who had a $10 million reward for their arrest.

Sergey Ivanov and Timur Shakmametov are said to be responsible for one of the largest online money laundering operations in response to major cybercrime markets and ransomware groups.
