Police say murderer recorded himself burning body of ‘con artist’ victim before getting his car stuck in California desert

Shocking video has shown what happened to a murder victim whose body was found in the California desert after the killer pinned his car in the sand.

The body of 30-year-old Aaron Chavez was discovered by two tow truck drivers in the desert near Baker on Highway 15 in August. Gino Julian, 30, was asleep in his car just 10 feet from the body.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department arrested Julian and charged him with murder.

The text message in the case is: Obtained by KLAS-TV He then showed two men arguing.

“If you touch me, you’ll be sued,” Chavez told Julian.

“A dead person can’t sue,” Julian replied.

Other text messages show Julian communicating with a man named Stefan Yakubov about Chavez, according to Las Vegas Metro Police.

Yakubov sent text messages telling him to “get in his face” and “delete our meeting.”

“Where should we do the show?” Julian texted Yakubov. “Do you have bleach or chlorine?”

A video from Chavez’s home showed Julian yelling at Chavez to return money he allegedly owed to another person.

Another video shows Julian dousing what appears to be a corpse wrapped in a blanket in the desert.

“How does it feel to be disrespected? That’s the worst, right?” he said to himself in the video. “I almost felt sorry for him. What else did I expect to happen?”

medical examiner’s report Chavez was found to have died from blunt force trauma to the head. Police said they found a large pool of blood in the courtyard of the victim’s home.

According to grand jury records, Julian reportedly told police that Chavez had defrauded many people of money. KLAS spoke to a California man who claims he and a business partner were scammed out of $25,000 by Chavez.

Other customers who lost money to Chavez also connected on social media. He portrayed himself as a wealthy entrepreneur on Instagram, where he was recruiting victims for the Ponzi scheme he ran.

“He billed himself as a pretty successful guy,” the man said. He went on to say that Chavez took their funds to invest in a protein cookie company.

“He was texting in the group chat that he was going to fake his death,” the man said.

Julia is being held at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas and is scheduled for a jury trial in May.
