Incident Involving Secret Service Agent

On Monday, Miami-Dade police arrested John Spielman, a U.S. Secret Service agent, for allegedly engaging in public indecency.

Spielman, 33, was in Miami for security duties related to President Trump’s appearance at the PGA Tour Cadillac Championship. Reports indicate that on Sunday evening, authorities responded to complaints of a naked man at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel near the airport. Upon arrival, they allegedly discovered Spielman “masturbating at the end of the hallway,” according to reports.

A hotel security team was called after a guest reported the incident, and upon arrival, they found Spielman with his pants down. There were also allegations from a woman in a nearby room who claimed that Spielman followed her from the lobby to the sixth floor.

The police report noted that this woman felt threatened and urged him to re-enter her room. As the report states, “The victim witnessed the defendant masturbating next to him in the hotel room.” Additionally, a security guard corroborated these claims, having observed similar behavior.

Richard McCauley, the U.S. Secret Service Police Commissioner, commented on the situation, expressing disappointment and underscoring that such actions are unacceptable. He mentioned that the agency is taking the matter very seriously, placing Spielman on administrative leave while the investigation unfolds.

As of Tuesday morning, Spielman was being held at the Miami-Dade County Jail, with a bail set at $1,000. At the time of writing, it wasn’t clear when he might be released. The Secret Service is conducting a thorough internal inquiry into the incident.
