This is great news for Donald Trump.

Recent polls have found that of all recent presidents and their rivals, he is the most respected by voters.

Donald Trump: 42%

Joe Biden: 21%

Barack Obama: 17%

Bernie Sanders: 5%

Nikki Haley: 5%

Mitt Romney: 3%

Hillary Clinton: 2%

Rasmussen:

Of all the recent presidents and their main rivals, the one most respected by voters is former President Donald Trump.

The Rasmussen Report’s latest national telephone and online survey found that 42% of likely U.S. voters say they most admire Trump as a leader, while 21% say they most admire President Joe Biden. The answer was yes. Former President Barack Obama is considered the most respected leader by 17% of voters. Others were in the single digits: Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont (5%), former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley (5%), Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah (3%) and former Secretary of State Hillary.・Clinton (2%). (Click here to see the survey question wording.)

The poll also found that while Donald Trump is gaining support among older voters, Biden is losing support among younger voters.

The Washington Examiner reported:

As usual, partisanship played a big role in this poll, with more Republicans rallying behind Trump than Democrats supporting Biden.

About 75% of Republicans say they respect Trump the most as a leader. But only 43% of Democrats chose Biden.

Remarkably, only 1% of Democrats named Clinton as the leader they most admired. Among Democrats, Obama was in second place behind Biden with 30%.

Rasmussen also found that support for Trump was strong among older voters, while support for Biden was weaker among younger voters.
