In a 50-50 nation, a whopping 64 percent of Americans support Donald Trump's plan to mass deport illegal aliens. Only 33 percent are against it.
Mr. Rasmussen is once again one of the most accurate pollsters in presidential elections. Voted In the three days after the election, 1,276 likely U.S. voters called on former president and current president-elect Trump to vote.
When asked how important it is to stop illegal immigration, 76% of those surveyed said it was either “very” (50%) or “somewhat” (26%) important. Only 22% said it was not important.
The internal structure is amazing… 78% of white voters, 74% of black voters, and 70% of Hispanics agree that stopping illegal immigration is important. This includes 61% of Democrats, 90% of Republicans, and 80% of independents.
When it came to the key question of whether or not they supported President Trump's plan to immediately begin mass deportations of illegal immigrants, 62% of white voters, 62% of black voters, and 70% of Hispanics said they did. . Even 39% of Democrats approve, compared to 89% of Republicans and 65% of independents.
Conversely, only 36 percent of white voters, 32 percent of black voters, and 28 percent of Hispanics oppose mass deportation.
Rasmussen then asked how likely President Trump is to keep his campaign promise of mass deportations. 72% said it was likely, but only 23% disagreed.
The data here, although not the only poll showing similar results, make clear that mass deportations are not a divisive issue. The American people are united by a wide margin in the belief that it is time to deport those who have trespassed into our country.
That is the law and we are either a nation of laws or we are not.
Corporate media has already seized on this issue as the tip of the spear to crush President Trump's policies, but there is no new discussion. It's just old emotional blackmail and pitfalls reheated.
Some people in the media are foolishly trying to scare Americans about the costs of mass deportations, as if the cost to Americans of allowing these illegal aliens into the country is an economic one. It's as if they don't quite understand that it's not just a matter of fact. There is also a human toll from murder, rape, human trafficking, and the influx of deadly drugs such as fentanyl.
Some people in the media are so desperate that they believe questions like “How can we deport 20 million people?” It's a trap of sorts. Like, You're making a promise you can't keep. Well, that may be true, but the American people at least want someone to try.
Finally, the media continues to use emotional blackmail to separate deported families. That doesn't work either. Americans understand that there are consequences for breaking the law. If I broke into CNN with my children, CNN would call the police and I would be separated from my children. Of course.
There is no doubt that Mr. Trump is serious about mass deportations, and there is no doubt that the American people support him. If such an operation were to unfold, there would be all sorts of videos of people crying as if the illegal aliens were being sent to Auschwitz instead of their home country. That doesn't work anymore.
Alternative and corporate media have been debating this issue for a decade, and corporate media has largely lost this debate.
