Pope Francis has shown “slight” improvements over the past 24 hours, but remains in danger, the Vatican announced Wednesday.
“The clinical status of the sacred father over the past 24 hours shows further slight improvement. A mild renal failure recently discovered has returned. A chest CT scan performed last night was a pulmonary ophthalmoscope. It demonstrated normal evolution of the test, the Vatican said in a statement.
“The Holy Father continues high-flow oxygen therapy. Even today he does not present a respiratory crisis. Respiratory physiotherapy continues. Despite recording slight improvements, the prognosis remains secret. In the morning, the Holy Father received the Eucharist. For the sake of his activities, the statement continued.
