The Associated Press reported that Pope Francis was in danger after suffering from an asthma respiratory crisis.
“The Holy Father stayed vigilant and although he was in more pain than yesterday, he spent the day in an armchair. The prognosis is reserved at this time,” the Vatican said in a statement cited by the Associated Press.
The 88-year-old Pope has been hospitalized for more than a week due to a respiratory infection. The doctors later diagnosed Pope Francis with pneumonia.
