Pope Francis: US conservatives have a ‘suicidal attitude’

In a recent segment on “60 Minutes,” Pope Francis was asked about conservative U.S. bishops who oppose new efforts to rethink dogma and tradition, and he offered a sharp criticism.

“A conservative is someone who clings to something and does not look beyond it. Taking into account tradition or considering past circumstances is suicidal, but the other is dogmatic To be confined within a box,” the Pope said.

Pat Gray and Keith Marinak of “Pat Gray Unleashed” were shocked to say the least.

“What’s the point of the Catholic Church if we can’t cling to the past and rely on the Pope?” Marinak asks. Mr Gray believes the answer to whether the Pope is actually Catholic is now a “definitive no”.

“That’s exactly the Marxist trick: don’t answer the criticism, turn around and go after those who are criticizing,” Marinak added.

After being asked what gives him hope, the pope gave another answer that questioned his loyalty to God.

“People are fundamentally good. We are all fundamentally good. True, there are villains and sinners, but the heart itself is good,” the pope said.

“I thought we were all sinners,” Marinak says, confused. “Is there a villain?”

“There are bad actors who commit crimes,” Gray added.
