Pregnant Massachusetts teenager discovered buried in her boyfriend's yard sent disturbing message about him before disappearing.

A man from Massachusetts faces murder charges after allegedly burying his girlfriend’s body in a garden belonging to his grandparents.

Gregory, 22, was taken into custody at Taunton District Court on Wednesday, shortly after the body of 18-year-old Kylie Monteiro was discovered behind a shed on the property where he resides with his grandparents.

Monteiro was reportedly 11 weeks pregnant when she was last in contact on August 7. On that day, she sent a shocking text to her sister claiming Gregory had assaulted her.

In the message, she described a violent altercation, stating, “He threw me to the ground, tugged my hair, and strangled me.” She mentioned something about her phone being with Gregory once she passed away.

The following day, Gregory called the police to report her missing, asserting she had been at his house and intended to stay before leaving after their argument.

However, as suspicion grew, investigators planned to search the grandparents’ property, with indications suggesting that Gregory had a role in everything that unfolded.

Prosecutors claim that Gregory admitted to fatally stabbing Monteiro and subsequently dragging her into the woods, burying her approximately five feet deep.

Her remains were ultimately located roughly 20 yards from where the incident reportedly occurred.

Despite supposedly confessing, Gregory has entered a plea of not guilty to the murder charge.

It remains unclear whether Gregory is the father of the child Monteiro was carrying.

A family friend, Kira Shawfield, shared her sentiments, stating, “She was very loving, very caring, and I loved her so much. My daughter was her best friend.”

Faith Monteiro, Kylie’s sister, conveyed her struggle to comprehend the tragic events, expressing, “I lost my sister. I’ll never have the opportunity to see her again, say anything to her, say goodbye, or tell her I love her.”
