Trump did not enter the tax lawsuit surrounding Rose. He was guilty of filing a false tax return in 1990. To be precise, it's two counts. Rose served five months in prison.
President Trump said Rose's pardon will be signed “over the coming weeks.”
Rose received a permanent ban from MLB in 1989 following a study that led to the conclusion that he gambled in a game featuring the Cincinnati Reds Contest between 1985 and 1987. He bets as both a player and manager of the franchise.
