Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ridiculed again in 'Family Guy' episode

“Family Guy” Returns to Roast Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

“Family Guy” has made a return, bringing back its humorous take on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for a second time. This new episode, which aired on July 17, comes two years after the show’s initial jab at the royal couple.

In the episode titled “Twain’s World,” characters Brian and Stewie—voiced by creator Seth MacFarlane—embark on a time-travel journey. Stewie warns Brian that their actions could “change the course of history,” to which Brian retorts, “You always say that, but history hardly smokes.” Then, using comedic references, he brings up figures like Hitler and the Crusades before Stewie cheekily adds “marrying Meghan Markle” to the list.

The scene then cuts to a classic “Family Guy” gag, showing Harry lounging on the couch, watching the episode. He humorously complains, hands on his hips, questioning, “Oh, how do all your wives get so good?”

This isn’t the first time the animated series has poked fun at the Sussexes; they first depicted the couple in 2023. During that episode, Peter Griffin—again voiced by MacFarlane—makes a joke at a bar, comparing himself to Harry and Meghan by saying he goes alone.

The scene transitions to a cartoonish poolside setting with Harry and Meghan, where a butler arrives with an envelope. The butler quips about millions coming from Netflix but notes, “no one knows what.” Harry dismissively tells him, “Please leave it with the rest.”

Meanwhile, Meghan receives a text prompting her to do a sponsored Instagram post daily. Harry sighs in response, lamenting, “I shouldn’t have left the nonsense that was made.”

Earlier this year, the couple was also lampooned in the animated show “South Park,” in an episode titled “The Worldwide Privacy Tour.” There, they were depicted as demanding privacy while making numerous public appearances, which garnered a fair bit of mockery.

In that particular episode, Harry’s memoir got a playful new title, changing “Spare” to “Wag.” The fictional couple’s journey to South Park was portrayed humorously, as they tried to convince people they wanted to lead a normal life.

Throughout the episode, their attempts at normalcy become a source of regular distraction for others, particularly Kyle, who often finds himself frustrated by their antics.

Though the couple has not publicly commented on these portrayals, sources indicate that Markle felt “upset and overwhelmed” by the jokes, especially those in “South Park,” though she opted not to view the episode herself. Queries directed to MacFarlane’s representatives and the Sussexes have gone unanswered.
