Prince Harry Praises Father Charles III After Reunion

Prince Harry shared that his father, Charles III, is doing “great” following a significant meeting between them.

The Duke of Sussex provided this update while thanking reporters at his Invictus Games reception on Wednesday.

He arrived in high spirits, mingling with corporate sponsors and government officials associated with the event.

It’s reported that the royals came to the reception shortly after their gathering with the King.

Harry expressed, “Yes, he’s great, thank you,” when asked about the monarch.

There was no immediate comment from Harry’s representative on the matter.

Harry met with his father at Clarence House, marking their first encounter after a lengthy period of reported tensions.

They spoke for just under an hour, which was notably longer than their previous 30-minute conversation in February 2024, following the King’s cancer diagnosis.

Harry, now 40, arrived at the meeting in a black SUV.

The Duke has been involved in a family feud since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, which has included tensions with his brother, Prince William.

After relocating to Montecito, California, Harry and Meghan Markle have revealed royal insights through various interviews.

In his memoir, “Spare,” Harry detailed some of the conflicts with his father and brother.

This recent meeting seems to be part of Harry’s efforts to mend his relationship with the royal family.

There are indications that the rift has been exacerbated by Harry’s ongoing legal battles concerning his security while in Britain.

He has spoken out about feeling unjustly treated after losing his security details upon stepping down, asserting that his father could resolve this situation.

However, Harry’s attempts at reconciliation with his family have been noted recently.

Reports suggest he was with his father during the King’s visit to London for the annual Welchild Awards on September 8th.

A source commented, “No one is pretending that the broader family problems have been resolved, but this starts with Charles and Harry.” They also noted, “There’s a real sense that reconciliation is within reach.”
