Fox’s first – A pro-Trump group has filed a lawsuit against multiple federal agencies, accusing them of illegally concealing the records of Ryan Routh, the suspect indicted in former President Donald Trump's second assassination attempt.
On Thursday, America First Legal (AFL) filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of State, Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Justice (DOJ), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS), alleging that the agencies knew about Routh. Ta. and the danger he posed to the former president.
The AFL announced on September 17 that it had launched multiple government-wide investigations into the Biden-Harris administration's records regarding Routh.
“Given Mr. Routh's criminal history and reported overseas activities, he may be a person of interest to the U.S. government and may have pre-existing government records,” the group said in a press release announcing the lawsuit. There is significant reason to believe that there is.”

On September 15, Routh allegedly hid in the bushes outside the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach with a rifle while Trump was playing.

A Secret Service agent spotted the gun sticking out and immediately opened fire. Routh fled, but was later captured.

The AFL said it has filed urgent requests for information with the State Department, Department of Defense, Department of Justice and DHS to determine what the Biden-Harris administration knew about the risk posed to Routh and President Trump. .
The AFL said it had not received any communication or records from all four agencies, despite meeting the legal requirements to be granted expedited processing.
“The American people have a right to know what the federal government knew about Ryan Routh. There's no way it could have stayed that way,” Jean said. Hamilton, executive director of America First Legal, said in a statement.
