Progressive Organization Uncovers Concerning Accusation Against Possible Platner Successor

Progressive Victory, a far-left group, has brought forward serious allegations against a potential candidate to succeed Democrat Graham Platner in the Maine Senate race. The claim is that he “hit a female colleague with a thrown bottle” during an argument, with multiple witnesses supporting this account.

Mr. Platner finds himself navigating yet another challenging situation as new allegations surface. A woman has accused him of entering her residence and sexually assaulting her. Jenny Racicot, 41, who has reportedly had an on-and-off relationship with Platner, stated that in 2021, he showed up at her home “uninvited” and “forced himself on her despite her repeated objections.”

When questioned during a CNN interview, Racicot affirmed, “Of course? Yes, that’s right,” when asked if Platner had raped her.

She elaborated, “That night, he breached several agreements by entering my home after I asked him not to. He came at me regardless of my requests. Then, there was another instance where I explicitly told him not to.”

Amid multiple controversies, Platner acknowledged that he is considering the future of his campaign.

He commented, “Despite the inaccuracies in reporting, we are mindful of the political implications it could cause. We’re taking the time to reflect on the best way forward for the state I love, the people I care about, the movement I’m a part of, and our aim to defeat Susan Collins. Those were my goals from the beginning, and they remain unchanged.”

In light of these developments, Progressive Victory is seeking alternative candidates, although they’ve faced hurdles with one of their possibilities—Troy Jackson, former president of the Maine State Senate.

Progressive Victory mentioned, “Earlier today, we began reaching out to local officials in Maine regarding Troy Jackson after witnessing numerous suggestions for him to stand against Susan Collins in place of Graham Platner.”

They added, “During our conversations, we uncovered troubling information not only about Jackson’s conduct but also regarding the behavior of various notable Democrats in Maine towards women in general.” They disclosed that Jackson allegedly struck a female colleague with a bottle.

The group further stated, “A few years back, Troy Jackson, then Senate president, threw a bottle at a female colleague during a tense state senate caucus meeting. While there are many witnesses, this appears to be a widely known secret within Maine politics and not an isolated case. We are still gathering more information and will provide updates in the comments of this post as they arise.”

Jackson’s team has denied the accusations, but the group remarked, “That alone does not serve as a credible defense. We will continue our investigation.”

Due to the recent allegations against Mr. Platner, many prominent Democrats who once backed him have since retracted their support.
