Put Some Respect On His Name: Kobe Bryant’s Statue Has Multiple Embarrassing Typos And What A Disgrace To The Mamba

Just… how?

Everyone makes mistakes, everyone makes typos (I do it all the time), but to miss them on what’s supposed to be an iconic Kobe Bryant statue and not fix it? , how stupid do you have to be?

That’s exactly what happened with the new Black Mamba statue unveiled in Los Angeles February 8th Outside of the Crypto.com arena, creators are being cooked for it. And rightfully so.

These obvious clowns made multiple typos on the statue, including misspelling the names of the two athletes depicted on the statue, and even mistyped common sports phrases. (Related article: Timberwolves’ Rudy Gobert fined $100,000 for blatantly disrespectful gesture towards referees)

The image of Kobe’s statue shows the names of former players Jose Calderon and Von Wafer, as well as the phrase “Coach’s Decision” all misspelled… Seriously, how do you spell “Coach’s Decision”? Do you get it wrong?

“Jose Calderson”… “Vom Wafers”… “Coach’s Decision”…Yeah, I don’t know either.

“We have been aware of this issue for several weeks and are already working to fix it immediately,” a Los Angeles Lakers spokesperson said. ESPN.

This is completely disrespectful to Kobe. I think that was clearly achieved.

But the other important takeaway from this story is how did we know this less than a month after the statue was unveiled? The Lakers knew it, Lakers fans knew it too, but why is this suddenly being talked about now?

Lazy media or cover-up?

I’ll let you decide. *stirs pot*
