Quebec mayor asks Canadians not to boo American kids at peewee hockey games

Canadian officials urged the audience not to harbor anger towards Donald Trump in a youth hockey game after a string of booing incidents.

Quebec Mayor Bruno Marchand made a plead at a press conference Tuesday. When the American team played in the scheduled Pee Wee Hockey Tournament in the city next week, they asked fans not to boo during the American national anthem.

The request was inspired by Canadian sports fans (a recent case of incensing President Donald Trump's tariffs). Booing and jeering when the US national anthem was played as American teams competed in a Canadian arena.
