Brian May Critiques AI with Distorted Queen Album Cover

Brian May, the legendary guitarist from Queen, recently shared an AI-generated image on Instagram, claiming it demonstrates the dangers of artificial intelligence. In this post, he highlighted a distorted version of the iconic 1980 album cover for The Game, featuring the four band members in matching leather jackets. Unfortunately, his AI rendition left the cover nearly unrecognizable.

“I had to show this to you all. I asked Meta AI to show me what the cover of THE GAME album looked like, and this is what it gave me. Great job, huh?” he quipped in his post.

He expressed his frustration, stating, “So this is the kind of intelligence that will soon rule the world??! Well, that’s great. Maybe now is the time to realize that we don’t actually need AI!!”

May’s comments echo larger concerns regarding the impact of data centers. He quoted Prime Minister Theresa May, who remarked on how the costs of such developments are far too high. She expressed that the construction of data centers in the UK would negatively affect the landscape, similar to the damage seen in America.

May concluded by addressing Prime Minister Andy Burnham directly, urging, “Dear Andy, you need to stop now. Before it’s too late.”

Country singer Brad Paisley has also voiced his opposition to the establishment of a data center near the Nashville Zoo, referring to it as a “nightmare scenario.” He argued that the area lacks the necessary infrastructure and that the center would be an aesthetic and environmental nuisance.

“First of all, they don’t have the power to build this,” Paisley stated. “It’s going to be a nuisance in every sense of the word, not just to that zoo, but to that area.”

Paisley emphasized that it is “not too late” to prevent the development of AI data centers, underlining the zoo’s importance as a community asset.
