Michigan Democrat Rep. Rashida Tribe has responded vigorously to President Donald Trump's proposal to take over the Gaza Strip after resetting Palestinians from war-torn regions.
Trump made comments to reporters after meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday. The proposal was quickly attacked by many who accused Trump of defending ethnic cleansing.
“That doesn't mean Gaza ground boots, and that doesn't mean that American taxpayers will fund this effort.
Tlaib, a Muslim, posted a furious response to the president from Her social media account.
“The Palestinians don't go anywhere,” she wrote.
“This president can only spit out this fanatic bull for bipartisan support in Congress to fund genocide and ethnic cleansing,” she added. “It's time for my two-state solution colleagues to speak up.”

“President Trump's proposal to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza and “take over” to the US is yet another chapter in the ongoing genocide,” he writes. “It is morally vulnerable to deploy US troops and use taxpayer dollars to infiltrate Gaza. Our commitment to justice remains unshakable no matter who sits in the White House. ”
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt I said At a media briefing on Wednesday, the president said he had not promised to send troops to the Gaza Strip and was not yet ready to spend taxpayer money on the effort.
“It has been very clear to the President that the United States needs to be involved in this rebuilding effort to ensure regional stability for all people,” she said. “That doesn't mean boots on the ground in Gaza. That doesn't mean that American taxpayers will fund this effort.”
Tlaib's parents are Palestinian immigrants. She was previously censored by Congress in a bipartisan vote to post slogans that many interpreted as claiming that Israel would be sweeped hard from the map. She also exploded at a reporter who asked her to condemn the “Death to America” chant from her district in April.
