Ravens’ Dre’Mont Jones Taunts Bengals After Hit on Joe Burrow

During the second quarter of Sunday’s game, Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Dre’Mont Jones had a moment of mockery aimed at the Cincinnati Bengals players after delivering a hit on quarterback Joe Burrow.

As Burrow rolled to his right, he sensed the defense closing in and, unable to find a teammate open, threw the ball wide. Unfortunately, this led to Jones pushing Burrow down to the ground.

The quarterback was looking for a penalty when a Bengals lineman approached Jones. But instead of engaging, Jones simply waved his hands, making a dramatic wailing gesture towards the Bengals bench.

Jones kicked off the season with the Tennessee Titans, then joined the Ravens midway through. In five games with Baltimore, he recorded seven tackles and 1.5 sacks. Overall, he has accumulated 33 tackles and six sacks in 14 games this season.

As the teams headed into halftime, the Ravens held a 14-0 lead. Quarterback Lamar Jackson had a solid first half, throwing for two touchdowns and accumulating 136 passing yards. He connected with Zai Flowers and Rasheen Ali, both of whom had two receptions; Flowers gained 54 yards and Ali brought in 32 yards.

On the flip side, Burrow completed 8 out of 15 passes for 71 yards, with one interception thrown to Marlon Humphrey. With the playoffs in sight, this game was crucial for both teams looking for a win.
