The drama surrounding Australian breakdancer Rachel “Raegan” Gunn has taken perhaps its biggest twist yet with the woman's return home.
The 37-year-old arrived in Sydney on the same day she was announced as the new world number one ranked breaker.
Gunn made headlines around the world with his controversial performance at the Paris Olympics, where he finished second last, beating one disqualified athlete.
Although she didn't receive any points for her performance, the World DanceSport Federation released the latest rankings, putting the Australian at the top of the list.
With the 1,000 points she earned by winning the WDSF Oceania Championships, Reagan qualified to compete in the Olympics and quickly rose to the number one spot in the world rankings.
In addition to Raygun, four other Australians made it into the top eight on the list: Holy Molly (4th), Hannah (5th) and G-Clef (8th).
The three women who brought home medals in Paris were not included on the list because they were not awarded points in the world rankings.
