‘Reagan’ biopic misses Oscars’ Best Picture consideration over DEI requirements

Fan-favorite presidential biopic “Reagan” has been disqualified from consideration of the year's best photo Oscar.

The Academy's diversity requirements have been the source of frued hits since it was first announced in 2020 amid criticism of Hollywood's low diversity. Last year's award was the first award to which the rules came into effect.
