Rebecca Gayheart isn’t shy about her romantic life. The 54-year-old actress was seen sharing a kiss with billionaire Peter Morton, 78, during a rare outing in Beverly Hills. They went to the popular restaurant E-Baldi on a Wednesday, where photos captured them embracing, holding hands, and exchanging kisses.
The former model was dressed in a black and white polka dot dress, a white blazer, black tights, and red heels, complemented by a matching red purse. Morton opted for a dark sweater, black pants, and white sneakers. Although they have been together for several years, they haven’t often appeared in public together, particularly as Gayheart deals with her “very complicated” relationship with her estranged husband, Eric Dane.
Gayheart and Dane, who married in 2004, have two daughters: Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13. The couple separated in 2018, but they recently withdrew divorce papers in April. Shortly after, Dane, 53, revealed he is battling ALS.
Gayheart discussed the challenges of co-parenting during Dane’s illness on the “Broad Ideas” podcast with Rachel Bilson and Olivia Allen. She emphasized wanting to model family loyalty for her daughters, saying, “I’m trying to show them we show up for people no matter what. He is our family and your father.” She acknowledged the complexity of the situation while maintaining a hopeful outlook for their children.
Despite being separated for around eight years, Gayheart and Dane remain committed to navigating this difficult period together. It seems, well, quite challenging. Gayheart mentioned once experiencing weakness in her right hand before finally seeking medical help, which sounds tough. ALS, she noted, is a progressive neurological disease that impacts motor functions and can lead to difficulty in movements as well as other serious health issues.
Dane has recently been seen in a wheelchair, and when a photographer asked him for a message to fans, he simply said, “Keep the faith.” It’s been a journey for them all, that’s for sure.
