Regions Bank says card issues resolved, apologizes for customer inconvenience – Alabama's News Leader

Update: Regions Bank reports that bank cards are now working.

Media representative Ashley Foster said:

We became aware this morning of an issue where debit cards were being declined for certain transactions, including at ATMs. All affected services have been restored and transactions are being processed as normal. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank our technical teams for their efforts in providing a swift resolution.

Regions Bank customers reported issues with their bank-issued cards Monday morning.

ABC 33/40 reached out to the Birmingham-based company to get a better understanding of what’s going on.

Media spokesperson Ashley Foster released the following statement:

Our technical team is working closely with Visa to resolve this issue. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and are committed to resolving this issue as quickly as possible. We will provide updates via our call center and social media responses as triage continues.
