Reiner Worried That Trump's Health Problems Are Not Being Disclosed to the Public

Concerns Raised About Trump’s Health Communication

During a segment on CNN’s “The Lead,” health analyst Jonathan Reiner expressed significant concern regarding the lack of meaningful information being shared with the public about President Donald Trump’s health issues.

Host Phil Mattingly posed a question, reminding Reiner that he had previously indicated serious worries about the president’s health. Mattingly asked how Reiner felt now, given Trump’s assertion that he was in perfect health.

Reiner responded, stating that the main issue is the absence of substantial information regarding the president’s health. He went on to recap events from the past nine months, noting that Trump had undergone a thorough medical examination in April at Walter Reed, where the results were reportedly normal. Although the president’s doctor claimed there was no swelling in his foot months prior, Reiner highlighted that Trump did experience severe swelling in his neck, which prompted further tests. Then, something shifted, and results were shared with the public, with Trump using the term “advanced imaging” to describe his situation without detailing whether it involved a CT or MRI scan.

A few days later on Air Force One, Trump mentioned having an MRI but did not specify the areas involved. This led to further statements from the president’s doctor, who, at that point, also refrained from explaining the exact tests that were conducted. Reiner mentioned that it was later clarified that Trump had not actually had a CT scan and that the MRI was released. According to available information, Trump likely underwent a cardiac CT or CT angiogram, a method used to determine potential coronary artery disease without invasive measures.

Reiner noted that he had minimal concern regarding the reasons behind the president’s bruises. However, he emphasized the importance of understanding why the White House medical team opted to investigate Trump’s health recently. He raised questions about what symptoms the president exhibited and what clinical issues prompted these examinations, acknowledging that the health of the president of the United States naturally raises numerous concerns.
