Tim Burchett Injured in Horse Incident but Remains Active
Tennessee GOP president Tim Burchett experienced a broken rib after a horse kicked him over the weekend while he was working on his farm. Despite this injury, Burchett stated he won’t let it hinder his activities.
A spokesperson relayed that the incident occurred when Burchett was approaching the horse, which reacted by kicking him. In a message shared on social media, he explained the situation, noting how startled the horse became.
“Everyone is asking, so here’s the deal. I got kicked by a horse on Sunday. I broke a rib. The horse didn’t take well to my presence,” he shared.
Even with a few bruises from the injury, Burchett went on to attend three events on Monday. He traveled quite a distance for those engagements, making it back home in the early hours.
“On Monday, I traveled 3.5 hours to central Tennessee. I attended three events and returned to the farm at 2:30 am,” he detailed. “Today, up by 6 am, I went to Campbell County for two more events.”
“It takes more than a broken rib to slow me down. I appreciate everyone’s support and concern for a speedy recovery. And let’s keep our country in our thoughts,” Burchett concluded.
