Rep. Nancy Mace Calls for Action Against Prince Andrew

Rep. Nancy Mace expressed strong feelings about Prince Andrew, suggesting he should be “handcuffed.” This statement comes shortly after she left a House Oversight Committee meeting in tears following discussions with victims of Jeffrey Epstein.

Late Wednesday, Mace shared her thoughts on X, stating, “Now seems like a good time to indict Prince Andrew for any potential crimes on US soil.” She added, “Cold, dark cell. Prince Andrew in handcuffs. I’ll send you the correct message.”

Prince Andrew has faced multiple allegations, particularly concerning claims that he sexually abused Virginia Roberts Giuffre when she was just 17. The British royal family, which privately compensated Giuffre in 2022 to settle a civil lawsuit, has consistently denied these allegations.

Mace noted in a follow-up tweet, “It seems like the right next step (after releasing the file).” She expressed hope for a future focused on prosecuting predators and healing both victims and society.

In a tragic turn, Giuffre’s father died by suicide in April, further complicating ongoing discussions around the Epstein case. Mace, who has also shared her experiences as a sexual assault survivor, demonstrated visible distress during the meeting with Epstein’s victims. She described the emotional toll it took on her, saying, “I had a completely blown panic attack. Sweats. Hyperventilation. Shaking. I can’t exhale.”

Mace emphasized the collective pain that victims endure, acknowledging that they often feel no one is fighting for them. “God bless all survivors,” she concluded, highlighting the ongoing struggle for justice.
