New 911 Audio Reveals Circumstances of Sam Rivers’ Death
Recently released 911 audio has disclosed that the late Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers was discovered face down in a pool of blood at his home in Florida, according to a report from TMZ on Thursday.
A deputy with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Department indicated that a woman named Keely found Rivers’ body and called for help. The recording captures her desperate plea for assistance as she described the gruesome scene.
The audio reflects her emotional attempts to revive the musician, who tragically passed away on October 18 at the age of 48.
The dispatcher instructed Keely to put the call on speaker and perform chest compressions, suggesting she say “now” each time she pressed down on Rivers’ chest.
Reportedly, deputies administered CPR until the fire rescue team arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene. Rivers had a cut above his eye, possibly from falling off the toilet, per TMZ’s report.
The incident report mentioned that Rivers’ face appeared dark blue, while other parts of his body looked flushed, which are common signs of pulmonary embolism.
A deputy also noted finding a small amount of coagulated blood in the bathroom where Rivers was found.
Keely informed deputies that Rivers had undergone a liver transplant in 2018 and was on multiple medications for liver and other health issues, according to the report. As of October 31, Rivers’ official cause of death remains unknown.
