The Azerbaijan Airlines flight that crashed in Kazakhstan on Wednesday was shot down by Russian air defense systems, multiple sources interviewed said. Reuters.

On Wednesday, an Embraer airliner crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan, killing 38 people. It has been using air defense systems against Ukrainian drone attacks in recent months after straying from certain areas of Russia.
