Republican Lawmakers React to Declassified Intelligence Documents
Republican lawmakers expressed strong reactions after the release of declassified documents that challenge the narrative of a Trump-Russia conspiracy. These documents reportedly indicate that the Obama administration manipulated intelligence assessments.
According to the declassified documents, the President’s Daily Brief from December 8, 2016, stated that Russian officials did not significantly influence recent U.S. elections through malicious cyber activities. However, officials from the Obama administration allegedly sought to alter this assessment, creating a contradictory narrative. This revelation prompted an immediate and heated response from Republican leaders.
House Speaker Mike Johnson from Louisiana characterized the document’s release as proof of longstanding conservative concerns regarding deep state corruption and called for accountability. “Destroy the deep state!
