Response from the White House regarding the disappearance case of Nancy Guthrie

FBI Releases Footage in Nancy Guthrie Disappearance Case

Recently released FBI footage shows a masked, armed individual inside Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home on the day she went missing, prompting a swift reaction from the White House. Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt remarked that the president expressed “pure disgust” upon viewing the evidence.

Just before a scheduled White House briefing, the FBI shared images and video that appear to show the masked individual manipulating a Nest security camera while holding what seemed to be a handgun at the door of the 84-year-old woman’s Tucson home on February 1, the day she vanished.

This unsettling footage was retrieved from backend systems during a collaborative effort with private partners. FBI Director Kash Patel issued a statement regarding the development.

Leavitt mentioned that she and President Donald Trump had reviewed the new information prior to the press conference, which shaped the president’s initial comments.

Officials Release Video Related to Nancy Guthrie’s Case

“His immediate reaction, like many Americans, was pure disgust,” Leavitt stated, adding that the footage made the situation feel even more real. She expressed that they are all praying for Nancy Guthrie’s safe return. The president has asked her to encourage anyone with information to reach out to the FBI, hoping for a swift resolution to the case.

When asked if the president believes the person in the video acted alone, Leavitt mentioned that they hadn’t discussed it in depth. Regarding potential legal consequences should Guthrie not be released safely, Leavitt emphasized their hope that all involved in this “heinous crime” face the full extent of the law.

Neighbor Reports Suspicious Van Before Disappearance

Leavitt indicated that the FBI has put forth a reward of up to $50,000 and is actively supporting state and local authorities in the investigation.

“Our prayers are with Savannah,” Leavitt said, referring to Guthrie’s daughter. “We hope this person is found soon and that her mother makes it home safely.” Reports state that Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home on February 1 around 9:30 p.m., with her family reporting her missing the following day around noon.

Investigation Updates on Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance

While further specifics were not immediately available, officials noted suspicions of kidnapping, citing bloodstains discovered outside the residence. Authorities also received a ransom note; however, two deadlines specified in the note have passed without any payment being made.

In a call with Savannah Guthrie, President Trump offered additional federal support following her mother’s disappearance.

Ransom Deadlines Pass Without Action

“This is a terrible situation,” the president commented. He recalled his relationship with Savannah, stating they’ve generally gotten along well despite previous tensions during public exchanges.

Nancy Guthrie, commemorating her 84th birthday on January 27—just days before her disappearance—was reportedly in declining health.

Authorities are urging anyone with details regarding her disappearance to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or to submit information online at tips.fbi.gov.
