Also, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, who trained alongside the Valente brothers and mother of Joa Kim Valente's children, has publicly called out for the benefits of her own jiu-jitsu practice.

“Since I started practicing self-defense, I feel stronger, more confident and empowered,” she said in a previous Instagram post. “I feel that's an important skill for everyone, but especially for our women.”

In an on-camera interview with Fox News Digital, three Valente Brothers, based in Miami, Florida, Pedro, Gui and Joaquim, shared why self-defense practices like jiu-jitsu are great physical and mental training for the whole family.

“We have a young student, three years old, and we are in the old age of 87,” Joaquim Valente said. “It creates an opportunity for everyone to get involved.”

For children facing bullying, this practice helps them develop physical confidence to protect themselves, and helps their parents tag along together.
