Kennedy Critiques Fauci’s Fame Pursuit

On Monday, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. expressed his concerns regarding Dr. Anthony Fauci’s pursuit of fame during the COVID-19 pandemic, following the release of Fauci’s personal diary.

During an appearance on “The Ingraham Angle,” Kennedy remarked, “[Fauci’s] focus was more on promoting himself, on being on TV, rather than prioritizing public health work.”

The diary, shared by Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky, reveals entries that outline Fauci’s daily experiences during the pandemic. It shows his preoccupation with his newfound fame and mentions his belief that it is “not an exaggeration” to claim he is “the most famous and talked-about person in this country.”

Kennedy lamented the impact of Fauci’s actions, saying the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has inflicted “incalculable” harm on public health and significantly eroded trust in it.

Kennedy claimed, “He was an expert they promoted. Anyone who questioned these experts—whose opinions we now know to be misleading—was marginalized and demonized,” while criticizing how dissenting voices were treated.

Fauci, who is now 85, was once celebrated as “America’s Doctor,” particularly during the early days of the pandemic when many looked to him for guidance.

RFK Jr. went on to criticize the handling of the pandemic, indicating that the death rate in the U.S. reached about 3,000 per million — among the highest globally, attributing that to poor management by health officials.

Kennedy also recounted his dismissal from office after challenging Fauci’s statements about COVID-19’s origins, expressing frustration over those who were “vilified” for sharing what later turned out to be accurate information.

He noted how his social media was shut down after he suggested that COVID-19 “almost certainly came from a lab in Wuhan,” which was labeled misinformation at the time.

Kennedy continued to criticize Fauci, suggesting he is a significant reason for widespread skepticism toward public health authorities, stating that the doctor “was fooled” and “shouldn’t be.”

He also pointed fingers at mainstream media, suggesting they were complicit in suppressing alternative viewpoints while vigorously defending Fauci.

“The press collaborated in this,” he stated. “It has undermined public trust in both the media and an essential democratic institution, leading to further harm to public health.”

Kennedy hinted that Fauci might face perjury charges when he testifies before Congress regarding his diary and the pandemic’s management. He asserted, “If he lies again, he could be charged with perjury.”
