Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams slammed former President Trump during the band's scheduled iHeartRadio Music Festival appearance on Friday.
Williams, who has slammed Republican politicians in previous speeches, delivered an angry message from the stage, blasting Trump and urging voters to “finally defeat his policies.”
“Do you want to live in a dictatorship? Come on, go vote,” the singer told the iHeartRadio audience.

Wearing an outfit inspired by legendary Blondie lead singer Debbie Harry, Williams approached a film crew at the edge of the stage on Friday night and knelt down to deliver an anti-Trump speech. Towards the camera.
As the band continued to play “Big Man, Little Dignity” behind him, the singer warned about the threat of Project 2025, saying it was President Trump's goal to harm women and other minorities in the country.
“Project 2025 is Donald Trump's playbook for controlling and punishing women, the poor, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community. Now is the time for all Americans to come together and finally defeat Trump's policies.”
She continued, raising her voice, “And the only way to make that happen is to confront him at the ballot box.”
She ended by yelling into the camera to encourage Americans to vote.
Trump has denied any involvement with Project 2025, despite continued allegations from Williams, other members of the media and liberal politicians that the initiative, a policy outline launched by the Heritage Foundation for a future conservative presidential administration, has ties to the former president.
“I don't agree with some of the things they say, and some of the things they say are just ridiculous and terrible,” Trump said last month.

Last year, Williams used her band's performance at the Adjacent Music Festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey, to launch a blistering attack on potential voters of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), who was then the Republican presidential candidate.
“If you vote for Ron DeSantis, you're dead to me,” she told the Atlantic City crowd, who cheered in support.
In early 2023, Williams shared an Instagram post criticizing several Republican-sponsored bills aimed at banning drag shows featuring children in Tennessee.
“Drugs are not a crime, and gender-affirming health care is a necessity for all, including young people,” she wrote, adding, “Once again, our state has passed two regressive and immeasurably harmful bills. We stand united with LGBTQIA+ families and local LGBTQIA+ organizations in this fight, not only to welcome our friends and family into the queer community, but to ensure that each and every one of them is radically accepted and empowered.”
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
