With the U.S. southern border becoming increasingly problematic for voters, Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida said Sunday that ISIS-K terrorists are using the border to protect themselves from attacks like the group’s deadly attacks. He warned that there may be attempts to carry out attacks on Americans. He claimed it was carried out in Moscow on Friday.

Rubio, who is vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, appeared on ABC’s “This Week” to discuss the U.S. government’s response to FBI Director Christopher Wray’s admission that the terrorist organization is under threat from ISIS-K. People said they should be “very concerned” about the potential threat from ISIS-K. Unique human trafficking network.

“Common sense suggests that if they’re running a human trafficking network, they’re definitely going to use that to move operatives into the United States,” Rubio said. “So I’m not saying there’s an immediate threat to the United States, but I’m saying the situation at the border and the existence of that network is a threat to the United States.”

Rubio added: “If we could do it in the United States what we did in Moscow, we would do it in a heartbeat.” “They want to do it.”

More than 130 people were killed and at least 154 injured at a concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow on Friday. Russian authorities announced that they had arrested 11 suspects in connection with the attack.

The extremist group Islamic State, also known as ISIS, claimed responsibility for the deadly attack in a statement on its social media channels. Intelligence agencies believe that an ISIS affiliate in Afghanistan called Islamic State Khorasan (commonly known as ISIS-K) carried out the attack, a US official told Fox News.

Rubio said the terrorist group has been able to operate openly despite the Taliban’s opposition since the U.S. withdrew from Afghanistan, adding that the group “doesn’t have the capacity” to counter them.

Rubio also said ISIS-K’s ambitions extend beyond infiltrating Iran and Russia.

“They’re going to want to do what they did in Moscow here in the United States,” the senator said. “And with 9 million people crossing the border in the last three years, that’s something we have to be extremely vigilant about.”
