Russia launched a massive drone attack on Ukraine's Kiev and other major cities on Sunday, killing at least seven people.
The attack comes just days before the Ukrainian and Russian delegations are scheduled to meet for Saudi Arabia's indirect peace talks with the United States. The United States mediates consultations and meets individual representatives.
The Ukrainian air force says 147 drones were involved in Sunday's attack from Russia, of which 97 were shot down, and another 25 failed to reach the target.
The attack killed three people in Kiev, the country's capital, including a five-year-old child. At least 10 people were injured.

The Ukrainians at the scene of the Kiev attack investigated the damage caused to their homes and neighbours on Sunday morning. Many have said they are lightly parrying upcoming ceasefire talks and pointing to burned-out houses destroyed by drone attacks, which more suggests Russia's true intentions.

Dmytro Zapadnya, 37, said he has no faith in Russia in supporting the ceasefire agreement in an old multi-plate building on the left bank of Kyiv, which was damaged by the overnight attack.
“It's pointless to sign (with the Russians) because it's not worth the cost of the paper you put this signature on. Well, that much fun now seems like the US has little understanding of our situation,” he said.

Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky said in a statement that attacks like Kiev were daily events in Ukraine.
“Over this week alone, over 1,580 guided air bombs, almost 1,100 strike drones and 15 different types of missiles have been used against our people,” he said. “We need new solutions to put new pressure on Moscow to stop both these strikes and this war.”
