The Russian missile struck Kiev early on Wednesday, killing at least one civilian, Ukrainian officials said.
Written on Telegram by Andri Yahmack, aide to Ukrainian President Voldimia Zelenki, the barrage of judicial missiles, was hit hours later, hours before Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent visited the Ukrainian capital .
Bescent is visiting the city to meet Zelensky and discusses President Donald Trump's demands for access to $500 billion worth of rare earth minerals as a payment for US military aid to Ukraine. He is also expected to talk about energy, pledging to tighten sanctions on Russia's oil sector.

Zelenskyy said the recent attacks proved that Russian President Vladimir Putin has no interest in pursuing peace.
A reporter for French Newswire AFP found the body of one person covered in black plastic sheets early on Wednesday. Zelenskyy said at least one person has been killed and four others have been injured, including four children. He said the attack destroyed apartment and office buildings.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that it had carried out a “group missile strike” at a site in Ukrainian, which produces drones, adding that all targets were hits.
Keith Kellogg, Trump's special envoy to Ukraine, is scheduled to visit Kiev next week with a plan for peace with Russia.

Kellogg, Vice President J.D. V. V. D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses are all travelling to Europe for security conferences in Munich when discussing peace options with officials in Ukraine and Europe. .
In the northern region of Kiev, local Governor Vyacheslav Chaus said Russians targeted critical infrastructure and at least two people were injured.

The Ukrainian Air Force said it had fired down 71 missiles and 71 drones out of six missiles and 123 drones, including Iran-designed Shahed attack vehicles.
