Sabrina Cardone: Spotlight on Young Entrepreneurs
Sabrina Cardone, who hosts the Progeru series Hustle, is known for highlighting young entrepreneurs who turn their passions into successful businesses. Interestingly, she graduated from high school at just 15 years old.
She shared, “I motivated myself to graduate early because I excelled in school. But honestly, getting a 4.0 GPA didn’t keep me interested. I wanted to get out there and explore the world.”
Cardone, the daughter of businessman Grant Cardone, has been working alongside him since she was 10. Now, as the host of Hustle, she travels across the country connecting with young people who have launched their own ventures.
Reflecting on her opportunity, she remarked, “When we were offered the chance to host Hustle at Prager University, we jumped at it.”
Asked about her favorite episode, she highlighted “Mane Attraction: Lather, Rinse, Revenue,” describing the experience as joyful. “Lauren was just the sweetest girl, and we had a blast laughing while I learned a lot.”
She added, “I even got to cut some hair, which was super fun.”
Discussing remarkable moments from her hosting duties, Cardone noted an interesting similarity among various business models despite their diversity. In season 2 of Hustle, she learned from a young entrepreneur named Eli, who ran a lawn mowing business.
“I got to operate a big lawn mower, which was new for me,” she explained. “I experienced more exciting things than I ever anticipated, and that’s what I hope viewers gain from it.”
As feedback for the show’s YouTube channel has been overwhelmingly positive, viewers across different age groups seem eager to engage. One commenter wrote, “We’re targeting young people, but this series has valuable insights for older adults too.” Another shared, “I’m excited for more episodes. They are inspiring; I want to motivate my daughter.”
Cardone stated, “These entrepreneurial efforts are quite niche, yet the principles discussed can apply universally—budgeting, planning, and more.”
Furthermore, she emphasized the importance of education in entrepreneurship. “Many of the entrepreneurs I’ve met had some form of business education. It’s crucial,” she noted, recognizing that platforms like PragerU and Cardone University aim to fill this educational gap.
Cardone also highlighted the significance of having genuine passion for one’s ideas. Beyond passion, she mentioned that discipline, planning, and adaptability in business are essential attributes for success.
While it’s common for new entrepreneurs to face hurdles, Cardone reflected on advice from her father: “The number one rule of success is just to keep showing up.” She added, “Engaging with like-minded individuals is vital. Yes, you might encounter rejections, but persistence and discipline are key.”
Additionally, Cardone voiced concern about traditional education in the U.S., suggesting that it often neglects critical financial skills. “A lot of parents are opting for homeschooling to incorporate practical finance lessons,” she explained, sharing that her own experiences motivated her to promote financial education, particularly in areas often overlooked by schools.
