Ms Marcotte responded to the ridicule on social media, saying she was simply proven that she had been right all along.
“When I wrote this article, I knew it was very true, but the hateful emails MAGA guys are sending doubly prove it. As they say, hit the dog, for crying out loud,” she said on social media.
“Oh, men, please know that your angry emails will go unread. I know what you’re trying to say, so I’ll delete it without reading it.” she added. “I understand that you don’t like it when you feel like you’re being watched!”
