In a disturbing livestream captured after a shooting incident at a San Diego mosque, Caleb Vazquez, 18, urged his accomplice to shoot him in the head. The tragic event led to the deaths of three individuals.
Vazquez was seen in a white BMW alongside 17-year-old Kane Clark, who was driving away from the Islamic Center when their dash cam recorded the unsettling scene. At various moments, Vazquez pressed the barrel of Clark’s rifle against his forehead. The viral footage, however, lacked any audio.
The camera eventually focused on Clark, who was behind the wheel. He fired two shots at Vazquez before turning the gun on himself.
The FBI has launched an investigation into the livestream video, according to a law enforcement source.
The livestream also depicted the two teenagers attacking the Islamic Center, opening fire indiscriminately.
During the shooting, both Vazquez and Clark were dressed in Nazi-themed attire, including a black sun symbol linked to Nazi Germany. This insignia was also associated with Nazi SS commander Heinrich Himmler, found in places like Wewelsburg Castle.
In addition, the weapons used by the pair bore hate-filled messages like “Now is the time for war.” They had also left behind a manifesto that expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler and various mass murderers prior to the attack.
Three men lost their lives in the incident, one of whom was Amin Abdullah, a security guard at the center.
Hawaa Abdullah, Amin’s daughter, spoke highly of her father at a press conference, stating, “For me, my father was a role model. He was my best friend. He was the best father in the world, the absolute best father. He was my protector. If I needed help, he would do anything.”
