San Francisco Charges 26 Pro-Palestinian Activists for Blocking Golden Gate Bridge

The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office has filed felony charges against 26 people for blocking the Golden Gate Bridge in April, trapping hundreds of people, including doctors and patients needing medical attention, for hours.

Breitbart News reported in April:

Hundreds of anti-Israel protesters blocked San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge on Monday amid widespread protests across the country.

A video showing the moment cars began piling up on the bridge went viral, forcing the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to issue a warning to the southbound side of the bridge. Two hours later, at around 10:30 a.m., the CHP announced on social media that they had begun making arrests and had detained 15 people.

The charges were brought by District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, who was appointed in 2022 after voters removed far-left District Attorney Chesa Boudin from office. Fox News’ Bill Melgin summarized the criminal case this way:

Little action has been taken against anti-Israel protesters across the country, and the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, under the direction of Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke and Attorney General Merrick Garland, has remained silent.
