Sara Gonzales reveals the left's most aggressive 'heroes' in a discussion on societal decline

Controversial Views on Violence and Politics

There’s no ignoring the conversation around violence and its depiction in society these days. It’s hard to overlook how some circles seem to elevate acts of violence to a sort of twisted idolization.

Last summer, for instance, a group of radical leftists were actually cheering for Thomas Matthew Crooks, who fired a shot at President Donald Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania. Their main concern? That the young man didn’t inflict a more serious injury.

Fast forward to December, and there was another alarming incident where people celebrated the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Reactions included signs demanding freedom for the accused and efforts to fund their legal defense.

Then, in August, emotions ran high when parole was denied for brothers Lyle and Eric Menendez, who gained notoriety for killing their parents back in 1989. The parole board expressed serious issues related to their behavior in prison and questioned the reliability of each other’s accounts.

And now, this same group seems to be rejoicing in the alleged murder of Charlie Kirk by Tyler Robinson.

On September 15th, Vice President JD Vance took the opportunity while guest-hosting on “The Charlie Kirk Show” to point out what he sees as a troubling trend. He emphasized that the left appears disproportionately inclined to defend and even celebrate political violence. “This isn’t a problem that exists equally on both sides,” he asserted. It’s a significant issue, he suggests—one we ought to confront.

In response to these thoughts, Sarah Gonzalez, host of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered,” posed a rhetorical question: “Where’s the lie?”

She commented on the strange cultural phenomenon where violent criminals are framed as victims, calling it a byproduct of “media activism” on the left. She also referenced the portrayal of illegal immigrants being spared from deportation as another facet of this disturbing trend.

“Why do you think that the loudest voices rally behind those perceived as vulnerable? Why does there seem to be an obsession with heinous acts like the killing of Charlie Kirk?” she asked.

According to her, there’s a larger cultural issue to consider. She argues that if the concept of justice can flip the narratives, turning killers into heroes rather than villains, then true justice is, well, nowhere to be found.

For those interested in more of her thoughts, there’s an entire episode of her show dedicated to discussing these topics.
