Schumer, Who Led Hate Chorus Against Netanyahu, to Publish Book on Antisemitism

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) plans to publish a book on anti-Semitism in 2025 after leading a chorus of hatred against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attacks.

In an attempt to appease anti-Israel voices within his party, Schumer delivered a hateful speech in March calling for Israel to oust Prime Minister Netanyahu and hold new elections, a bold move that was hailed by major Jewish organizations. It is called Made him set off towards it.

“Our affiliates, who represent a broad cross-section of American Jewry, remain concerned about U.S. officials dictating to a sovereign, democratic ally when it should conduct its electoral process,” Jewish leaders said at the time.

Schumer has remained relatively quiet compared to other political leaders since Oct. 7. In November 2023, he gave a speech on anti-Semitism in which he criticized parts of the left but also condemned President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Last month, Schumer claimed he had refused to shake Netanyahu’s hand on the Capitol floor, but Netanyahu’s office released a photo of Schumer privately shaking his hand, suggesting Schumer wanted to embarrass the Israeli prime minister in front of the American public but didn’t have the courage to challenge him privately.

As Senate Majority Leader, Schumer held up military aid to Israel and approved some of President Joe Biden’s most anti-Israel and anti-Semitic nominees, including extremist Justice Department Civil Rights Director Kristen Clarke, who has tried to deny her past ties to anti-Semitism while standing idly by during an explosion of anti-Semitic hatred.

Schumer will no doubt try to condemn Trump and Netanyahu again in his new book on anti-Semitism.

He will have plenty of time to promote his book: Polls predict Republicans will retake the Senate majority in November, meaning Schumer will be removed from his current position and demoted to the opposition Senate.

The timing of the book’s release could also suggest that Schumer is trying to use accusations of anti-Semitism to undermine the Trump administration, just as Democrats did with the “very fine people” myth during Trump’s first term.
