Scottie Scheffler’s son Bennett carries a small golf bag at the Travelers Championship

The 2026 PGA Tour is underway, with the Travelers Championship taking place this weekend at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut.

Scottie Scheffler probably isn’t feeling the best after the way the recent U.S. Open concluded. The top-ranked golfer had been performing really well, contending for the title, but a final round score of +1 left him tied for fourth, giving Windham Clark his second U.S. Open victory.

One reason Scheffler thrives is his knack for forgetting rough rounds. This was evident as he made a strong comeback during the opening round of the Travelers Championship, quickly climbing the leaderboard.

While Scheffler shines on the golf course, he’s not the only Scheffler making headlines lately. His eldest son, Bennett, born in March 2024, brought a smile to his face during a practice session on Wednesday.

A social media post showed Bennett with a mini-golf bag, equipped with clubs suited for a toddler, as he accompanied his father to the driving range.

At one point, Bennett took a swing with a mini-driver, and as the ball veered off course, Scotty patiently offered guidance, helping him get back on track.

After that, Bennett casually wandered around with his golf bag, trailing his dad throughout the area.

It’s always heartwarming to witness elite athletes spending quality time with their children amid competitions, especially when it seems like Bennett is following in his father’s footsteps, both in a literal and figurative sense.
