Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex, Kathy, is reportedly cooperating with authorities as a federal sex trafficking investigation has been launched against him.
Cassie, who was in a relationship with the music mogul for 10 years before they split in 2018, began cooperating with law enforcement a few weeks ago, sources said. told TMZ.
This suggests that the “Me & U” hitmaker, an R&B singer who was once signed to his own label, may have known about the multiple raids on the rapper’s home last week.
Federal agents moved to Los Angeles and Miami to seize Combs’ cellphone and computer as part of the federal investigation.
Law enforcement officials told the newspaper that similar raids would be carried out in New York and Chicago.
The paper added that several other women, whose names have not been released, have been in contact with federal agents working on the case.
The newspaper has contacted Kathy’s representatives for comment.
She accused the mogul of raping and physically abusing her over a period of more than a decade.
The two have dated on and off in public, and she claims they started dating shortly after they met in 2005, when she was 19 and he was 37.
The “Long Way 2 Go” hitmaker, whose real name is Cassandra Ventura, has alleged that the legendary music producer and rapper trafficked her, raped her and severely assaulted her from 2005 to 2018.
Combs, 54, regularly gave her drugs and alcohol and forced her to have sex with a male prostitute while filming himself, alleging that the rapper had romantic feelings for her. He also claimed to have blown up Kid Cudi’s car after he learned of it.
When she tried to end their relationship in 2018, the Revolt CEO allegedly forced Ventura into his home and raped her, according to the complaint.
Combs “vehemently” denied the charges after the lawsuit was filed.
The ex-lovers settled their lawsuit privately just 24 hours later.
Following last month’s raid, the rapper’s attorney Aaron Dyer blamed the “military-level force” used by federal authorities to search the “I’ll Be Missing You” hitmaker’s property.
The hip-hop mogul is being investigated for sex trafficking, according to law enforcement, and his lawyer has denounced the charges as a “witch hunt.”
Diddy was not arrested or charged, but “spoke with and cooperated with authorities,” his lawyer said. His travel is not restricted in any way, he added.
