A frantic search for a missing 27-year-old horseman in Montana on Friday recovered the horse and the woman's cell phone, but the woman remains missing.
Officials said they haven't heard from Megan Lowndes since she went biking in the afternoon to a recreation area about 90 minutes from Bozeman.
Local media reported that authorities, first responders and volunteers were searching the scene and found her cellphone and horse in her saddlebag on Saturday, the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office said. Announced.
The animal was found in the hills near Hauser Lake, so the sheriff's office focused its search on the body of water and surrounding areas. he told KTVH.
Sheriff Leo Dutton said the boy's parents had not heard from him after 2 p.m., but the boy took a photo on the social media app Snapchat around 4:20 p.m. According to KXLH.
She was reported missing by her parents around 8pm on Friday.
Dutton told the US Sun Strong winds were blowing in the area, which may have caused the lounge to fall into the water. Any wrongdoing has been ruled out, he noted.
“We think something may have happened that scared the horse into the water,” he told the publication. “I don't know what's going to happen yet.”

The sheriff's office was with Lowndes' husband and family Monday afternoon local time, and the search was focused on a section of the Missouri River, the sheriff's office wrote in a Facebook post.
“Stay away from the search area. This includes search areas in the water. If people try to go there, they are putting our scuba divers at risk,” he said. I wrote it. “Please do not interfere with the search.”
As the search progressed, authorities were able to rule out areas where the woman might be.
“Thank you to the citizens who volunteered their time on foot, on horseback, and in other volunteer activities,” Dutton wrote.
