Sebastian Gorka Appointed White House Senior Counterterrorism Adviser to President Trump

President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday announced the appointment of Dr. Sebastian Gorka, a former Trump administration official and host of the podcast “America First,” to the White House as deputy chief of staff and senior counterterrorism director.

“Since 2015, Dr. Gorka has been a tireless advocate for the America First Agenda and the MAGA movement, and previously served as the President's strategist in the first Trump administration,” President Trump said in a statement. Ta.

He added:

Dr. Gorka is a legal immigrant to the United States and has over 30 years of experience in the national security field. In 2015, he was one of my advisors for the primary Republican debate on national security. At the time, he was the Major General Matthew C. Horner Professor of Military Theory at the Maritime University Foundation and a visiting instructor at the JFK Special Warfare Center and School at Fort Bragg. Previously, he served as Associate Dean for Congressional Affairs and Relations with the Special Operations Community at the National Defense University and Cockeris Fellow at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. He received the Department of Defense Joint Civilian Achievement Award from USSOCOM for his work in counterterrorism.

Additionally, Mr. Gorka was the national security editor for Breitbart News.
