Democrats are chasing bad policies and bad politics in their myopic efforts to stop President Donald Trump's American energy renaissance, Sen. Cynthia Ramis (R-WY) explained to Breitbart News on Tuesday.
Senate Democrats are moving Wednesday to stop Trump's national energy emergency, with gestures against the president's actions to lower energy prices and elicit important campaign pledges.
“During his campaign, President Trump highlighted the relationship between a robust energy economy and further control of inflation,” Ramis told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview. “It creates energy in the best countries that can create jobs and produce clean energy, and that's the United States.”
On his first day in office, Trump declared a national energy emergency to unleash America's energy production after energy prices surged under former President Joe Biden. Biden It moved To stop the lease of oil and natural gas, Prohibited They attempted to demand offshore drilling and that by 2032 the majority of new cars on sale in the US would be electric or hybrid, according to Sean Moran of Breitbart News.
This burden, Ramis emphasized, is that all Americans, especially those from Ramis' hometown, “Wyoming exports 12 times more energy than it consumes.” But Trump's national energy emergency designation is to increase energy availability and reduce costs, as well as promote clean energy efforts.
“Now that President Trump has opened up opportunities for energy production right now, I mean all kinds of energy production in this country – it helps to achieve a cleaner environment around the world, because we can produce it much cleaner than China, Russia and other countries on the other side of the planet,” she explained.
“It will benefit the nation, including areas that tend to be dominated by Northeast, West Coast and Democrat voters,” explains Ramis, “it gives us the opportunity to show that we can have cheaper and abundant clean energy in this country.
The Senate must schedule a vote on legislative vote, as Democrats' resolutions to revoke Trump's orders are privileged. Ramis believes their efforts have failed on the Senate floor and that voters are tired of paying high energy prices.
“They'll be shot down in a big way,” she said of the Democrats. “And it gives us our people to create cleaner American energy and the accompanying employment.
China has built dozens of coal plants, but Democrats, including Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), have argued that America is in a clean energy “arms race” with China.
Having seen firsthand the outbreak of China's pollution around the world during a visit to South Korea, Ramis believes the Democratic crusades, promoting alternative energy sources, are myopic.
“We should build a cleaner American coal-fired power plant in our friend Sen. Wyden, as it is a very clean modern coal fired power plant using Yankee ingenuity and American technology.
The Senate is scheduled to vote for a Democrat resolution on Wednesday.
Ramis is a member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
