In a post on X, Rubio criticized the Biden administration's record and argued that President Trump's “extraordinary actions” are needed to “repair” the country's devastation.
“It's time to defeat Biden and get to work saving America!” declared the Florida Republican, who criticized President Trump when he ran against him in 2016.
“When President Trump was at WH, I was able to accomplish key policies that I had been working on for years, such as expanding the child tax credit and tough sanctions on the regimes in Cuba and Venezuela, because I didn’t have to give in to special interests. “I support Trump because we had a president who wasn't going to let bureaucrats get in the way.” ,” Rubio wrote to X. It's time to start the job of defeating Biden and saving America! ”
With the backing of Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), who endorsed Mr. Trump in November by promising to withdraw from the race, both Florida senators are now in their hometowns with Mr. Rubio's support. They support Trump over the governor.
Rubio endorsed the former president the day before the Iowa caucuses and at a rally in the Hawkeye State, where North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (RN.D.), who also challenged Trump in 2024, endorsed the former president. He announced his support just hours later.
Mr. Rubio's endorsement is a major victory for Mr. Trump, especially as Mr. Trump continues to seek to overtake Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Florida) in the states where both men live.
